Ekológia, politika a sloboda
Abstrakt
A collective scientific monograph, edited by Peter Daubner, explores the complex, intricate, and mutually influencing relationship between politics, ecology, and freedom. The authors of the publication analyze the philosophical, social, political, and economic aspects of the global environmental crisis within the conceptual framework of the Anthropocene, placing emphasis on the reflection of the causes and consequences of this crisis, the symptoms of which began to manifest fully during the 20th century. The authors build upon the philosophical legacy of the French thinker André Gorz, whose political ecology in the 20th century systematically criticized an economy based on the imperative of growth, whether in the capitalist or socialist development variant. The authors of the publication are František Novosád, Boris Zala, Richard Sťahel, Ivan Buraj, Peter Daubner, Daniel Costa Jařab, and Greg Evans. The publication was supported by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, its representation in the Slovak Republic.
