Abstrakt
The book follows two parallel lines: historical-philosophical and systematic. The aim of the first line is to present a comprehensive picture of Buber's reception of Kierkegaard's philosophical ideas. The book clarifies the context in which Buber's reception was born, examines Buber's sources and his use of Kierkegaardian philosophies, and evaluates the acceptance of Buber's interpretation by the professional public. It returns to Buber's early struggle with religious acosmism, which predefined his position in the dispute with Kierkegaard. The aim of the second line is to examine the philosophical reflection on the relationship of religion to ethics and politics within Buber's confrontation with Kierkegaard. This relationship is the main theme of Buber's reception of Kierkegaard's ideas, from which the other themes develop. Part of the systematic investigation is the clarification of key dialogic concepts and structures on which Buber relies in the confrontation, the tracing of the forms of the dispute in four key works, the analysis of the reception of Buber's theses in the international intellectual environment, and thematic analysis of Buber's early struggle with acosmism. Both lines together create a plastic image of Buber's dispute with Kierkegaard, at the center of which is the problem of the relationship of religion to ethics and politics.
