Morální odpovědnost a její aspekty
Moral responsibility and its aspects
Abstrakt
The complexity of contemporary societies and the biosphere, the unprecedented efficiency of technologies and many other factors of contemporary globalization lead to a blurring of the relationship between human action and its consequences. This is also related to the transformation of the meaning of responsibility, especially moral responsibility. In this context, the authors of the monograph address the following questions: What does moral responsibility consist of? How to establish the boundaries between responsibility and irresponsibility in relation to the future, often unforeseeable consequences of action? Is it possible to attribute responsibility to a person for actions that he did not commit himself? Are we responsible only to ourselves and others, or also to other living beings and the Earth itself? The question of responsibility is examined as a problem in which the level of purely individual responsibility of a person for his own actions is somehow exceeded. This transgression manifests itself as a relationship to the consequences of the actions of past generations, as a decision whose future consequences can only be anticipated partially and unreliablely, and as a responsibility for the environment, where the reciprocity typical of interpersonal relationships does not occur and where the consequences of current actions may be irreparable.
