Abstrakt
The monograph "In the Mirror of Culture" is based on the finding that the concept of culture is currently one of the most frequent and probably the most important concepts that we use in interpreting our "being in the world". Disciplines that orient themselves in the realities of the human world directly through the concept of culture, such as cultural anthropology and sociology of culture, have since then been among the most dynamically developing areas of knowledge. These disciplines are able to stimulate new integral ways of thinking about man and his possibilities, about his connection to both the environment "given" by nature and the environment created by him. It is precisely the constantly renewed connection of theoretical, reflexive knowledge to spontaneous, existential understanding that is the common root of all social sciences and enables their unity and continuous transition between their individual disciplines. The author of the monograph considers the concepts of border and conflict to be the central concepts of interpreting the phenomenon of culture.
