Abstrakt
The book is the result of an effort to present a picture of the development of social and political thought from antiquity to the present day, also taking into account the social and political thought characteristic of Chinese and Islamic civilizations. The project combines several approaches, from reflections on the nature of the development of social thought, through general characteristics of selected currents and schools (Hellenism, Enlightenment, Scottish Enlightenment, French traditionalism, totalitarianism, contractualism, communitarianism, feminism) to chapters focused on presenting the contributions of those thinkers who belong to the basic canon of social and political thought.
