Care for the Soul: Lives of Subjectivity and Forms of Thought
Abstrakt
The publication Care for the Soul is the result of international cooperation between authors from Slovakia, France, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary. In three thematic parts, which deal with the forms of care for the soul, care for human life in relation to the ethos of action and care for the soul in relation to philosophizing and thinking, the authors seek answers to fundamental philosophical questions: how and what do we care for when we care for ourselves and the world? What concept of the soul, subjectivity, life do we base our work on when determining what health and illness mean? Is care for the soul truly beneficial, and if so, in what way? Can we still establish a relationship with ourselves and the world? On the one hand, the authors define the internal conditions of the life of subjectivity, on the other hand, they describe its practical, ethical and political schedules. Based on historical and philosophical and systematic research, they present their own perspective for solving the problems raised.
