Rodová asymetria v študijných preferenciách dievčat a chlapcov v oblasti informatiky a technicko-inžinierskych odboroch
Gender asymmetry in study preferences of girls and boys in computer science and technical and engineering fields
Abstrakt
Nowadays, when concepts such as innovation, creativity, sustainable development, genetic modification of food, biotechnology, etc. are constantly being used, there is also an urgent need to redefine the concept of literacy. It should include not only the ability to use technical means (for example, new information and communication technologies), but the new technological literacy also presupposes an understanding of the impacts and social consequences of technological innovations. These facts have brought and are bringing new challenges to the education system at every level, from preschool education and training to doctoral studies. However, the need for qualified, erudite experts, both male and female, in the field of computer science, electrical engineering and engineering in general is not saturated with a sufficient number of interested and interested women in these fields. At the same time, the consequences of entrenched gender stereotypes are manifested in this area, because the representation of women in the aforementioned fields is significantly lower.
