Quantification theory and extensional semantics of natural language
Abstrakt
The book is devoted to the semantic analysis of natural language quantification expressions. It is well known that predicate logic is not sufficient to correctly capture the logical form of natural language quantification expressions or to adequately explain their semantic content. Therefore, since about the middle of the 20th century, attempts have been made to formulate a theory of quantification that would not be based on predicate logic. The result is the concept of so-called generalized quantifiers, which is also presented in this book.
