Veľký vek ničenia
The Great Age of Destruction
Abstrakt
Jozef Pauer's work is an attempt to sketch the genealogy of the current civilizational situation of decline. It reveals the driving principles of modernity as well as the modern age, as well as the temporal nature of this movement (cyclicality, linearity, the return of cyclicality in linearity, an analysis of the concept and reality of revolution). It outlines the situation of man and society in the context of globalization and finally analyzes the destructive aspects of the operation of the oligarchic principle in the current world order. The ambiguity and deformation of the spheres of social life exist both in the living present and in current theoretical thinking about the state, democracy and civil society. In thinking about the problems of democratic order, the state and civil society are often inappropriately placed in opposition and the articulation of social spheres is neglected. This confusion is further condensed by the flourishing of economism, the reduction of the social and political to the economic or the explanation of social movements by the dynamics of the economy and market relations. This globalized absolutization of economics and trade has weakened the cohesion of the social order and at the same time stimulated the forces of disintegration. The possibility of overcoming this state of affairs lies not in "cutting" development programs, but in creative action.
