Abstrakt
The proceedings of the XIII Czech-Slovak Symposium on Analytical Philosophy, held in 2009 in Smolenice, offer articles primarily devoted to the issues of context and meaning in various fields of research. Some of the contributions are devoted to the role of context in the philosophy of language and the related semantic and pragmatic problems. In another series of contributions, the issue of context appears in connection with discussions of specific problems of methodology and philosophy of science. Other contributions are related to the field of logic or the history of philosophy. The proceedings reflect the diversity of topics on which members of the relatively small community of analytic philosophers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia work.
