Introduction to Logical Syntax and Semantics is an introduction to the conceptual logical syntax and extensional semantics of first-order language. The text of the book contains revised articles that were published in the journal Organon F in 1994 and 1995. The text has a didactic character, it is conceived as a teaching material for students, which is intended to introduce "the basic apparatus with which logical syntax and semantics work". As the author himself states in the preface, he is concerned with explaining basic concepts, the logic of propositional conjunctions (the difference between extensional and non-extensional conjunctions) and quantifiers. He defines and delimits what a first-order language is. These basic concepts can be applied when examining the structure of concepts, judgments, inference schemes and the derivation of propositions from propositions or sets of propositions. It also clarifies the interpretation of statements (atomic statements, molecular statements) and statement forms, which include these basic terms. The author characterizes the problems related to descriptions that do not meet the condition of uniqueness; he introduces the so-called lambda - an operator with the help of which it is possible to formulate infinitely many compound predicates. Individual considerations intervene in the context of the philosophy of language and questions are deliberately asked that push the boundaries of individual disciplines and thus provoke discussion between them. There is space devoted to philosophical questions related to the understanding of properties and relations that are the intensions of predicates.
