Issues on the (Im)Possible XII. is the twelfth edition of the conference event hosted by the Institute of Philosophy of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. The venue is the Institute’s building at Klemensova 19, 811 09 Bratislava.
Thematic focus
The conference’s thematic orientation follows the framework indicated by the event title Issues on the (Im)Possible. The event focuses on analytic philosophy. Areas of interest include (but are not limited to) modal metaphysics, hyperintensionality, modal epistemology, the metaphysics of fiction, philosophy of religion, and metaontology.
Speakers
The keynote speakers are Kathrin Koslicki (University of Neuchâtel) and David Vander Laan (Westmont College). The programme also features a broad roster of additional confirmed speakers (there are currently 44 confirmed speakers).
Organization
The organizer is the Institute of Philosophy of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. The conference is supported by Project VEGA 2/0055/26: The Principle of Explosion as a Foundational Philosophical Principle.
