Invitation to the presentation of two scientific monographs

The Institute of Philosophy of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, specifically the Department of Normativity and Human Rights Research, invites you to an event dedicated to the presentation of two scientific monographs by members of the research team of the VEGA project No. 2/0118/24 The Social Nature of Normativity as a Starting Point for Explaining the Relationship between Individual and Collective Autonomy.

The event will take place on April 9, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Central Library of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Klemensova 19, 811 09 Bratislava, and will take place in a hybrid form – both in-person and online.

The following monographs will be presented:

Mgr. Jakub Švec, PhD.
John Stuart Mill – Between Individual Autonomy, Individual Liberty and Collective Autonomy
Charles University in Prague, Hussite Theological Faculty, Pontes Pragenses edition, 2025

The event will also include a moderated discussion led by Mgr. Tomáš Kollárik, PhD. After the presentations and discussion, a reception is also prepared for the participants.

All members of the Institute of Philosophy of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, the philosophical and academic community, students and the general public are invited to the event.
