You can still register for a conference on social differences and the position of young scientists in Central and Eastern Europe until 16 July.
The conference entitled Science Policy Reflects Reality: Gender, Women and Young Scientists in Central and Eastern Europe aims to map experiences, findings and knowledge:
- on mobility in science with its specific problems;
- on the balance between careers and the private sphere in science,
- on the state of science policy with regard to the phenomenon of the so-called glass ceiling,
- on the image of science in the media and communication between society and science and other issues.
The conference will be held on December 1-2, 2006 in Prague. Details about the venue, thematic focus of individual sections and conditions of registration can be found on the Conference Information page.
Or the Central European Centre.
We hope that SAS scientists and especially the representation of the young generation from all three departments of sciences of the SAS will actively participate in this event. Actors from the management sphere of the SAS are also warmly welcomed, especially members of the SAS Presidium, responsible for the implementation of science policy measures, human resources development and doctoral studies.
