The XVIII International Conference Young Philosophy 2023 will take place

At the end of this working week, on May 18 and 19, 2023, the 18th International Conference for PhD Students and Young Scientists Young Philosophy 2023 will take place at the Institute of Arts of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. The conference is held under the auspices of the Institute of Philosophy of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava.

After an online break, the event has regained its original concept of face-to-face meetings. The in-person form of the conference allows for better fulfillment of its primary goal, which is to support cooperation and create space for mutual communication between future scientists at the international level.

The international conference will be supported by a speech by the director of the Institute of Philosophy of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, doc. Mgr. Richard Stahel, PhD., and an invited lecture by Dan Swain, PhD., a British philosopher working in the Czech Republic (Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic). The quality of the event is also ensured by the number of registered participants. There will be contributions by 32 PhD students and young scientists from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Germany and Nigeria.

The conference program consists of four conference sections: Continental Philosophy, Analytical Philosophy, Social and Political Philosophy and History of Philosophy. The event will be held in Slovak, Czech and English. Papers from the conference will be proposed for publication in the journal Ostium or the journal Philosophy.
